Meet Jessa

Hi! My name is Jessa, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve loved words. Stories in particular, I suppose. I get to write them now as my full time job — a privilege that isn’t lost on me, and an honour I feel the weight of rather heavily.

I think we learn so much about ourselves and the world by the stories we’re told, by the characters who moves us and infuriate us and inspire us. What a gift to get to live so many different kinds of lives through the wonder of story telling.

I love wonder, I love being filled with a sense of it, I love awe and that feeling you get when you’re standing on the edge of something that you don’t quite understand yet but desperately want to. I hope that’s how my stories make you feel.

Some of the things that make me feel like that: the stars and deep space, ancient ruins, old books and big trees.
